We all love a bit of dry shampoo right ladies, even if you're like me and wash your hair every other day, you still need that little something to refresh your style and stop your barnet looking like a wet lettuce. It can even be used on clean hair to create some va va voom voloume at the roots.
Dry shampoo's have thankfully improved massively over the last couple of years and no longer leave a massive thick powdery white layer on your hair and thanks to new technology they actively work to clean the hair rather than just soak up the oil (yuck).
But are you using your dry shampoo correctly to get the most out of it? Did you know that there is a correct method in using them?
So here is the correct way to use your dry shampoo ladies ..
Part into sections and spray the roots from 4 - 6 inches away then let it sit for 5 - 10 mins before touching to allow it to really work it's magic then lightly massage with your hands and then use a hairdryer to blow dry through. Remember to use sparingly though, and not too often as this will create a build up over time and leave your hair looking lack lustre in the long run.
Here are my top picks of Dry Shampoo...
Living Proof Perfrct Day Dry Shampoo £25 available at Cult Beauty
This went viral a couple of years ago and it's really not hard to see why once you've tried it! This dry shampoo actually cleans hair by absorbing oil, sweat, and odour while leaving hair with a touch of texture and a crisp, long-lasting scent.
Sam Mcknight Lazy Girl £22 Available at Cult Beauty
Kristin Ess Dry Shampoo £15 Available from Boots
Celebrity hairstylist to the likes of Lauren Conrad, Kristin Ess' range of products is simply fab, the scent across the whole of her range is just gorgeous and this dry shampoo is a super fine talc-free mist, it's super translucent, absorbs excess oils + eliminates odors while refreshing hair between washes.
I honestly never knew that you had to wait 5-10 minutes after spraying before massaging it! Also I never kew about using the hairdryer to help it even more! I have certainly learned a lot from this post lovely! My go-to dry shampoo is Batiste as it works best on my hair x
