Metallic
Metallic's always seem to make their way into the winter trends due to the party season but they are here in a big way, from shiny metallic space worthy looking heels to shiny silver t-shirts, you are going to see this trend all over your favourite high street stores.
As seen here at the Jil Sander, Zimmerman and Saint Laurent AW16 catwalk collections.
Just a couple of examples of the trend in our online stores at the moment are this Metallic dress below, £58 from ASOS and these rose gold shoes are £25 from Ego but you will be seeing it in pretty much everything including shimmery, glittery make up.
Frills, Ruffles, Lace and Embroidery
I know that those three words probably make you think if your nan's wardrobe right, but expect it see plenty of each in your favourite stores over the coming months.
Here are some examples of the trend seen here at Fendi and J W Anderson AW16 shows.
Eighties
I am so thrilled about this one, I know that the eighties was a decade that was mostly know for it's awful fashion, but I love the fact that it was fun and you should have fun with your wardrobe. The trend is going to be massive for SS17 but it's already making it's way into our autumn collections. Think colour, big bold jewellery, crimped hair, oversized jumpers and coats, this is one that I think we can all have some real fun with.
Below are images from the TOP SHOP Unique SS17 collection, I love the splash of fuchsia, just what we need to brighten up those horrible dark winter days.
All of these dresses below are from ASOS but they are just a small example of what else they have to offer online in terms of the ruffle trend and you will see it all over other online stores and the high street in the coming weeks and months. From tops, dresses, cardigans, jackets and even shoes, there will be no escaping it this season.
I absolutely love the rust coloured maxi, super elegant!

These shoes by Gianvito Rossi are the 80's shoe shape that you will start to see all over the highstreet shortly and you can see a lovely fuchsia pink version of this style in the SS17 Top Shop catwalk show above, but these are £470 at net-a-porter.com
And these super glam Balenciaga Sequin-embellished satin pumps are just total eighties heaven, they just scream decadence and priced at £1695 it's hardly surprising! available at net-a-porter.com
So there you have a taste of what's to come ladies and this will hopefully help you plan your AW16 wardrobe accordingly and I am certainly excited about this seasons key pieces! As I said at the start, these are just a few of the key trends and I will touch on some others shortly.
